About This Event
Bell Ambulance is a family-owned business with over 400 employees, founded by Rick Zehetner in the 1970's. His three daughters are involved in the business along with two non-family members who are also minority owners. In this Q&A session with Wayne Jurecki, long-time employee and minority owner, you'll learn about:
- The quick adjustments they had to make during the pandemic to protect their employees and overcome a V-like revenue direction
- Their innovative path to growth in the private ambulance service sector
- How they transformed from a toxic culture to one of respect and open communication
- How they are trying to overcome a serious labor shortage of EMTs and paramedics
Wayne Jurecki is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Bell Ambulance in Wisconsin. During his professional career of over 30 years in the industry, he served in several fields at Bell Ambulance including billing, accounting, human resources, and IT. He is an active member of the American Ambulance Association since the early 1990s, and currently serves as Chair of Data Task Force, Vice Chair of Balance Billing Task Force, a member of bylaws committee, and a frequent speaker at both the Reimbursement and Annual conferences.
